Les Cèdres d’Hosten has its own personality that combines the purity and elegance of the main wine without seeking to develop complexity, thereby highlighting freshness and the fruit. From 2011 onwards, its blend has become Merlot-dominated, making it a supple, round, very friendly wine.

Bright red robe. Raspberry, blackberry and floral hints on the nose.

61% Merlot – 39% Cabernet Sauvignon
Ripe red fruit on the nose leading to a fleshy, tender palate. Pleasant flavours on the finish. Very moreish!
71% Merlot – 29% Cabernet Sauvignon
Expressive nose of red fruit. Clear attack, big on the palate. Reasonably extracted tannins supported by good acidity on the finish. Flavoursome.
21.5% Merlot – 61% Cabernet Sauvignon – 17.5% Cabernet Franc
Ruby robe. Rich, fruity nose. Structured palate. Lovely density. Tasty, elegant wine.
24% Merlot – 66% Cabernet Sauvignon – 10% Cabernet Franc
Ripe fruit on the nose. Supple and tasty on the palate with nice acidity. Elegant tannins, good balance.
65% Merlot – 35% Cabernet Sauvignon
Enjoyable to drink in its very first years, les Cèdres d’Hosten is aged in tanks to conserve the fruit and its freshness.
